Hi Kushagra,

Thanks for posting. So it sounds like you have just 2 years of work experience now, but will work a few more years before applying for business school, which sounds like a good plan, especially with some of your positions thus far being more short-lived.

It sounds like your academics are strong, just be sure your GMAT lives up to that level. In terms of what to focus time and energy on in prep for applying, the GMAT is an important area to invest in preparation.

Professionally, you'll want to think about how you can make an impact in your role, and what accomplishments are within reach, and how you can demonstrate leadership and initiative. Ideally you want your career story to make sense, your past, leading up to the MBA, and then your post-MBA goals. Right now you've mentioned a few reasons for getting the MBA in terms of things you'd like to learn which is fine but you'll also want to provide a plan for how you'll use it/what your career plans are.

When you list a ranking range of schools, are you focused on US or any global schools?

Good luck on the process!

A GMAT score of 700+ is always good. Calculate your GPA out of 4. After score comes work experience and extracurricular activities. You need to have at least 3 years of work experience by the time you apply. It should be focusing upon your leadership qualities. Your extracurriculars are also decent but as you have more time left before applying, I would suggest you to take up some more roles that would enhance your leadership abilities. A good application essay is always a very important aspect of the application. It should be framed in a way that it brings out the best of your capabilities infront of the adcoms. Next is interviewing skills, another important aspect. Get in contact with an alumnus of your target school and get some mock interviews and application reviews. Good Luck!
