by sandipgumtya » Sun Jan 03, 2016 9:43 am
Hi,
I am returning to this forum after few months after my test in 25th Sep'15.I had been unsucessful in getting into any of my dream b-schools.So,I want to retake the test once more.My prev score was 670.
I am in dire need of advice on how to proceed from here on.How much time should i dedicate/what study materials should i follow?what r things i need to do different this time around?

HI sandipgumtya,

I'd like to know a bit more about your GMAT studies so far and your application history/plans:

1) How long did you study?
2) What materials did you use?
3) What were the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores on the Official GMAT?

4) What Schools did you apply to?
5) Did you receive any confirmation that your GMAT Score was the 'issue' with your applications?
6) When are you planning to reapply?

Hi sandipgumtya,

Before you retake the GMAT, I highly recommend that you talk through your situation with an Admissions Expert. There's a Forum full of them here:

https://www.beatthegmat.com/ask-an-mba-a ... t-f40.html

If by "PI", you mean 'personal interview', then it's worth noting that Business Schools generally only grant interviews to applicants who they're interested in. If you had three interviews but nothing came from any of them, then there's a pretty good chance that something about the interview (something you said - or didn't say - or how you said it) is what kept you from getting an invite (and not your GMAT score).
