15 employees --> 60 minutes --> 27 basketsbobdylan wrote:If 15 employees working independently and at the same rate can manufacture 27 baskets in an hour, how many baskets would 45 employees working independently and at the same rate manufacture in 40 min.?
15 employees --> 10 minutes --> (27/6) baskets
15 employees --> 40 minutes --> (27/6)*4 = (9*2) = 18 baskets
45 employees --> 40 minutes --> 3*18 = 54 baskets
The correct answer is D.

Hi Anurag,
It at times become hard to pick an approach that would solve the question in quickest way. Specially for work/rate problems. Could you please cite some
strategies to fasten up the speed.
To cite a few examples,
one approach is to calculate [work done per day]
Second is to calculate [man-hrs per unit of work]
