What's wrong with C? I am debating between A and C.

B -- among women and houses --> distorts the orignal meaning.


between A and C.

In C.. "they" is ambigous.. it can refer to women or murals.


A cleared this ambiguity.

their -- refer to murals.

Also C has two independent clauses separated by a comma. You can't do that.
