HEre is a question i couldnt tackle. Can you help!?

Yes / No Question:

If x + y +z > 0 , Is Z >1?

1.) z > x +y+1
2.) x + y +1 <0

Correct answer is B but how?

x + y +z > 0
Or, z > - (x + y) ... (a)

1) z > x +y+1 ... (b)

Add equation (a) & (b) i.e. 2z > 1 Or, z > 1/2

NOT SUFFICIENT

2) x + y +1 < 0
Or, -(x + y) > 1 ... (c)

Add equation (a) & (c)

z - (x + y) > - (x + y) + 1
Or, Z > 1

SUFFICIENT
