Solution: The resultant percentage will be the weighted average of the percentages of the above two stocks.
=> \(\frac{500\cdot\frac{20}{100}+200\cdot\frac{20}{100}}{500+200}\cdot100\)
=> \(\frac{100+40}{700}\cdot100\)
=> \(\frac{140}{700}\cdot100\)=> 20%
Therefore, B is the correct answer.
Answer B
=> \(\frac{500\cdot\frac{20}{100}+200\cdot\frac{20}{100}}{500+200}\cdot100\)
=> \(\frac{100+40}{700}\cdot100\)
=> \(\frac{140}{700}\cdot100\)=> 20%
