Hi Rithika,
Congratulations you have a very unique and strong profile which can definitely help you get into IIM's and ISB if you manage to score 724+ in GMAT.
Considering your profile and your interest in IIM's and ISB, We would suggest you take GMAT which is accepted in top notch B-Schools.With this profile, you can apply to any B-Schools.

740 GMAT will definitely help you compete with your competitive applicant pool and also help you qualify the minimum GMAT threshold of top Bschool but it will not guarantee you an admit or an interview call.

Having said this, you can target top B schools as 740 GMAT qualifies to apply to any of the top B schools.

It's your "ESSAYS" that can get you an interview call and "INTERVIEW" can get you an admit, so your complete focus must be on the essays. You can take the experts help and write an extraordinary essay.

You need to be clear with your post MBA goals and once you have the list of colleges, whose areas of academic strength coincide with your Post MBA goals, start prioritizing these colleges.

Visit the sites of these colleges, and see what they look for in their prospective candidates. Attend their online seminars. Talk with their Alumni.

Lastly, keep in mind most of us want to land a good job after MBA. So, do check their placement statistics.

If you need any assistance in GMAT preparation or Want to talk to Alumni from top B-Schools pm me.

A few more perspectives for you Rithika:

- In general, most good GMAT based programs (including ISB) expect 4-5 years of solid pre-MBA experience. Given that context, applying with only 1-2 years of experience might be a risky strategy. If time is a big factor, CAT might be a better thing to explore - but if you do so, do that sooner rather than later.

- For ISB, you should explore the YLP route. For the 1 year IIM programs, the expectation on work-ex goes up usually.

- While you have built up a good profile so far and the work also sounds meaty, it will be important to not let up on your efforts. Profile Building is a pretty involved and all-encompassing thing so make sure you do that well.

Hope this helps some more.

Cheers,

Hi @rithikabekal

You definitely have a fine profile, complete with strong academic credentials, relevant internship experience, and management skills. However, the work experience is definitely on the lower side as programs such as ISB generally prefer work experience upwards of 3 years. That said, of course, you are eligible to apply to the IIMs and ISB and considering your profile, you must be looking at a score upwards of 720 definitely. Needless to say, the higher the better! :)

While the GMAT score is one component, you also need to focus on preparing an application with a set of stellar essays that are reflective of your potential and showcase a logical sync among your existing experience, short-term career goals, and long-term aspirations. We suggest that you put deep thought into preparing the same :)

If you are able to take care of the above-mentioned points, you stand a good chance :)

Should you have any follow-up questions, please feel free to reach out.

All the best!
