Hi,

Your academic records can give you a good boost and you have a decent GMAT score to top it up. However, there would be 2 major areas that you may have to prepare to answer for

1. Why do you want to do an MBA after a Masters degree that you already have? Have your goals changed? Do you not see yourself working in the current role/industry/function few years down the line? Why a change?

2. You have only 2 years of experience. Top B Schools look for people who have handled leadership roles in their professional and non-professional space. Would you match up to applicants who have had an experience of 4-6 years which is desirable in order to have positions of authority? Would you be able to put up a dynamic profile that the Adcom would choose not to ignore? Your essays will have to depict that though low on experience, you have shown tremendous potential in solving business problems and have taken initiatives that can be compared with others with greater experience.

If the above concerns are taken care of, you can have a shot at the top B Schools.Specifically from choosing B Schools point of view, if your interests lie in the IT Management/ General Management area you should also look at Schools like Mc Combs, Kelley, Ross etc

Hi Ankush,

You have solid academics and GMAT. Overall good profile for top 20 B-schools but the list of shortlisted schools looks ambitious, you can add some moderate to safe schools to the list to increse your chances. You need to focus heavily on your essays as you need to justify why you need MBA at this point as you already done masters from US. You can also consider applying to technology focused schools like Tepper, USC Marshall, IE and for general management apply to schools like Ivey, IESE and Darden. You can try your Chances for Top B-schools by checking this tool visit https://goo.gl/RTq3pr Hope this helps...
