GMAT Score:650
Although i used to score higher in practice test,i messed up during my real GMAT(650 Q-41, V-38). During practice test i used to be better at Quant and never got less than 47. But somehow it didn't work out during the real GMAT. Paper was real easy yet i couldn't get there. I had 10 mins spare after my quant ended. Would you suggest me retaking the GMAT or strengthening up my profile???

Asian Female:28 from IT background
Academic: BSc in Statistics. I have completed distance PDDBA in Operation Management from Good college with A grade, which i dont see making much difference in my career
Overall 7.5 yrs of experience in IT industry working across various role. I seem to have rock bottom at my current industry and need a change wherein i get a strong career boost.
I had 2 Overseas exposure.

Am planning to apply to the below Schools
1) Tepper
2) Georgetown McDonough
3) Kenan Flagler
4) Chicago Booth
5) Indiana Kelley
6) Kellogg
7) UNC
8) MIT-Sloan
9) Thunderbird
10) Emory

Please suggest if retaking GMAT is better option? Will this GMAT knock me out of any top schools

Thanks for sharing your profile. Based off of the information given I would recommend taking the GMAT over again. Your score will be a distraction for admissions at top schools since it is well below school averages especially given your belief you can do better than 650. I will say that you should expect a 25-50 point variation between practice exams and the real thing.

Reschedule your exam ASAP, fine tune some outstanding problem areas and get a score more consistent with your prep.

Good Luck!
