Profile Evaluation and Career Guidance

by arunatpec » Mon Oct 12, 2015 5:53 am
Hi There

Please guide me as I am Confused to start or not.

I am an Engineer, Did job in an MNC/Operations for 2 years with Six sigma Green belt. Post that I did my MBA from Tier 1.5 college in India and got Job in a Big4 as an IT Consultant. I had to leave the job in a year due to some personal issues, but managed to get job of a consultant in my hometown in an India IT Major. After 2.5 years I started my IT Services company which did pretty well, Finally I tool a big leap and started a Hyperlocal start-up which failed in 6 months but as far as Experience is concerned it was tremendous. Managed everything from Idea to vision, Operations, Marketing , hiring and iT part as well. I am strong at IT Pre-sales, business analysis, Ops as well.

Now I am looking for some stability and International Exposure and work as a consultant internationally. Targeting 1 year MBA from any tier 1 Mba college.

Questions :-
1. With over 7.5 years of experience and MBA is my profile good enough to get into a good Bshcool
2. Can my previous MBA be a hindrance in getting into another college ?

Any guidance and suggestions welcome.

Thanks

it will be important for you to justify why it makes sense to get a second MBA, so address that head on. Develop a real focus on your goals (rather than stability and international exposure) and get a strong GMAT score, and you can be competitive. The key to failure (your business) will be to articulate what you learned from the experiences etc. cheers, alex
