Hi David,
Recently I find that when I navigate to any other page(except the home page) some of the things stick such as the BTG explanation video. This video covers the text in the other pages making it unable to read the text that becomes hidden due to the same.I don't know if it is due to some of the coding done recently..Can you check if this problem is occuring with other users too??

Forum post display has CSS problem with IE7(atleast)...
Works with Opera 10, Chrome ---Tested
Even in forum ....the rightside bar gets squeezed...
May be some CSS incompatibility problem...
2.I think there is some javascript event collision between Menu code and Youtube video code....as when we put mouse over menu, the video disappears......and when is out....video reappears(IE7)

Hi David,
There was a pop quiz when i 'liked' this article - https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2010/10/ ... d-problems
I answered it correctly within the stipulated time. Then it asked me to share it on facebook. The "share" window/overlay took much time to load and when i clicked on the share button it said that the quiz has expired.
If I look at it, the time limit should only be for answering the question. If the user answers it correctly within the given time, then he should not be timed-out for sharing it on facebook.
let me know your views on this.
Thanks,
umang

These problems are browser specific( most of time even browser version specific).....mostly css layout problems
Yup this problem is in Firefox as well(Just verified)
May be that javascript collision is browser specific....(JS problem is not in FF)

Hi All,
I just changed the Pop Quiz feature. So now you will always get points as long as you share on Facebook - the clock won't run out once you answer a question correctly.
But, we've also reduced the time you need to answer a question correctly. You now need to answer the question correctly within 60 seconds. We had set the time limit to 90 seconds initially because we were worried about Facebook sharing time. Since you no longer need the extra time to share on Facebook, 60 seconds to answer a question feels downright luxurious doesn't it?

Hi,
Sorry but I can't give you points outside of normal gameplay. But I can work to fix bugs if/when you find them.
Can you please let me know what browser and operating system you use? I just looked up your records in our database and I'm not sure what happened. Here's the info that I found though:
* You liked the article at 11:46:02AM PST
* You shared the article at 11:46:35AM PST
* The server started the clock on your Pop Quiz answer at 11:46:35AM PST
* The server marked your answer as "Expired" at 11:53:41AM PST. This should mean that you submitted the answer or refreshed the page 7 minutes after you first saw the Pop Quiz link.
The data looks strange to me because I'd doubt that you'd wait 7 minutes. So I'm going to try to debug this situation.
David
P.S., I think that the Pop Quiz is working fine for most players. Here are some aggregate stats from just today: 171 successfully shared Pop Quizes, 50 expired Pop Quizes and 38 Pop Quizes with incorrect answers.

Those are some interesting stats.
When I liked & shared the article, the pop quiz did not show up (that explains why I could not open it). To check that the points are added to my total, I refreshed the page (that explains the 7 mins interval) and then I saw that message which said that the quiz has expired!
So the server did start the clock but the browser did not show it...sounds weired but that is what must have happened. (am a web dev, understand that such random issues do creep in at times)
I am using chrome on windows xp.
PS - can i get a chance to take that quiz now

Thanks for the info. It's very valuable for me as I try to debug the situation. So can you please let me know what you saw after you shared the article? Did the box say "You earned 6 points"? Or was the box just stuck on "You earned 1 point. Earn 5 more by sharing"?
