Hi All ,
I am planning to give Gmat in September. My current name as per the passport doesn't have any last name. I will be giving the exam using my first name only.
But for a smooth admission process in the universities , I have applied for the name change and am getting my last name added in my passport. However, the name change is a lengthy process and will take about 6 months.
What will be the consequences if I give the Gmat with my current name and later (after 5-6 months) get my last name added in my passport?
Will the B schools accept this mismatch of name in the GMAT scoresheet and the passport ?
Can a new scoresheet be obtained from the GMAC after the name change?

When you apply to business schools, inform them about your name change situation and provide documentation that supports your name change request. This way, they will be aware of the mismatch between the GMAT scoresheet and your passport and can make necessary arrangements to ensure your application is not affected.
