GMAT Score:500
Hi all,

My test is scheduled for April 23 at 11 am and I'm really falling behind in my GMAT scoring. I've already spent a lot on a GMAT course that really hasn't gotten me to where I want to be (700) and I'm not doing well at all on practice tests. With how expensive tutors are, is it worth investing in 5 hrs worth with a month and a half to go before my exam? Especially after having already spent a large amount on a course?

Hi there,

I'm looking at maybe grabbing a few hours of tutor time from Grockit. $50/hour normally, but I just found this deal with $50 off a 4 hour package:

https://grockit.com/promotions/212e1950 ... at-tutor25

If you try it, let me know how it goes.

Online.. he's very good..he's taught a bunch of people who have got into the top 10(including me).. he gives a free tutoring session..send him an email... I went based on this 99th percentile, and his amazing reviews..(from real people!)

Hi All,

Thanks to everyone for your input.

I did indeed decide to go with a tutor. He is actually from Magoosh, and he is very good. Just had my first lesson last week.

Thanks to all of you for providing me with assistance. Good luck to you all! I know I need it.

Angie

To everyone who's done private tutoring, I had a few questions since I signed up for Kaplan private tutoring and I'm supposed to start next week:

1 - How did it go? For example, did you just go over test question after test question, or did they break it down by concept and try to teach fundementals?
2 - Were you taking any other prep course at the same time/before doing private tutoring?
3 - After all is said and done, would you recommend private tutoring to help raise my score? Why?

I'd appreciate any input you could give, as my test date is coming up and I really need to improve drastically if I want to get into where I want to go.

Thanks again!

Hey Mlj,

I went by my tutor- Horacio's reputation (see above),and his natural ability to teach, which I gauged from his free session. He helped me boost my score 50 points. Let me know if you have questions...

Hey george,

I really like Horacio's linked in reviews. I think I might really benefit from some tutoring. How many hours did you need with him, and over how many weeks? Many Thanks for your post.
