Can anybody recommend pre-MBA reading and preparation that was found to be genuinely useful?
mba.com has a Essential Prep collection. Does anybody have experience and can recommend this? Also, any recommended textbooks?
Just want to get a heads-up so its not too big an adjustment going back to school. BTW I am starting at University of Toronto Rotman school of business on a 3-year part-time program this September.
Best regards,
Joe

I'd suggest you to check out the Business Week and the Financial Times websites for book recommendations. They have a separate section for business and management books and also publish the best books of the year.
Secondly read the WSJ or the Financial Times! Developing this habit will take you a long way during your MBA.

You might also want to check out Moocs like Coursera or Khan Academy. They are typically free and some schools offer their real classes online taught by actual business school professors so you can get an idea about the difficulty and rigor of various classes. Good luck to you!
