Advanced Course

by jdotsuka » Fri Oct 31, 2008 3:26 pm
Hello - does manhattan GMAT offer an advanced course in which only people who have scored >600 are allowed (similar to Kaplan's GMAT advanced course)? And if not, will >600 students feel held back in the regular course by <600 students?

Thanks!

Hi jdotsuka,

The good thing about ManhattanGMAT is that our course that we offer is a type of advanced course, with the exception that we do not restrict enrollment with a minimum score on a practice test. We do this because students can start out at all different levels and, in the end, perform similarly high on the exam. In fact, most students' first score depends entirely on their familiarity with the test and their ability to pace themselves, not their level of expertise in a given subject area.

With this in mind, a student above a 600 scoring threshold would not feel like they were being restrained by students below a 600 threshold. This is because our Instructors are mindful the different needs of students and will not unfairly balance the class towards one side of the scoring spectrum. Hence, when you sign up with ManhattanGMAT, you'll get a comprehensive course that caters to students who wish to learn the content that will set them up for success on the GMAT.
