let \(x=saline\) % of \(A\)
\(15\cdot x+5\cdot 0.4=20\cdot 0.25\)
\(x=\frac{1}{5}=20\)%

Let solution A be an x% saline solution; we can create the equation:

15(x/100) + 5(0.4) = 0.25(15 + 5)

15x/100 + 2 = 5

15x/100 = 3

15x = 300

x = 20
