$$x=1+\frac{6}{1+\frac{6}{1+\frac{+}{1+...}}}$$
This is equivalent to x = 1 + 6/x or x^2 = x + 6.
Rearranging yields x^2 - x + 6 = 0 or (x+2)(x-3)=0.
So, x = -2 or x = 3.
Since x is a positive number, x = 3.
Therefore, the answer is C
