Since AP and BD are two chords that intersect, we have AP*PC = BP*PD
=> PC/PD = BP/AP
5/3 = BP/AP
BP = 5*AP/3
If we get the value of AP, we get the value of BP.
Let's take each statement one by one.
(1) AP = 10.
Sufficient.
(2) Angle BPC measures 90 degrees.
Certainly insufficient.
The correct answer: A
