The OA is C
b = a - 33.33% of a => b = 2a/3;
b = c - 50% of c = c/2
=> c = 4a/3
d ≥ 2.5b = 2.5*(2a/3)
d ≥ 5a/3
a + c = a + 4a/3 = 7a/3
The maximum percentage by which the combined score of A and C is more than the score of D = [Combined scores of A and C - minimum score of D] / Minimum score of D
= [(7a/3 - 5a/3) / 5a/3]*100% = 40%
The correct answer: C
