AutoCar is a car manufacturer in Country X. Over the past eight months, car sales in Country X have risen by more than 20 percent. Therefore, AutoCar's sales over the past eight months have most probably risen by more than 20 percent.

The argument is flawed primarily because the author _____________.

A. draws a general conclusion based on a short period of time
B. fails to distinguish between a product and a brand
C. fails to distinguish between cars manufactured and sold in Country X, and cars manufactured outside Country X and sold in Country X
D. draws a specific conclusion based on a single case
E. does not provide information about any other car manufacturer in Country X other than AutoCar

Option A :- INCORRECT
The past eight months which is the time span being given doesn't seem to be a short period of time and therefore doesn't primarily flaw the argument.

Option B :- CORRECT
Not distinguishing between the product and the brand seems to be the primary flaw for this argument. The author failed to distinguish between the product and the brand, and without knowing which is which , we are left to blindly follow up with the argument.

Option C :- INCORRECT
The only country recognized in the argument is country X, failing to distinguish between cars manufactured and sold in country X and the one outside country X cannot serve as a primary flaw to the argument because the argument is only concerned with the country .

Option D :- INCORRECT
Quite true that the author drew his conclusion based on a single case, but this doesn't serve as a primary flaw because its affects the argument a way more that its primary stage.

Option E :- INCORRECT
Not providing information about any other car manufacturer in country X other than AutoCar doesn't flaw the argument. The argument was more interested in Autocar's manufacture, so its not flawed if it doesn't mention any other manufacturer.
