1) The ratio of the number of freshmen to the number of sophomores is 1 to 2.

From the two statements, we know that the ratio of the number of freshmen to the number of sophomores to the number of juniors is 1 : 2 : 4

On ratio scale the total number of students = 1 + 2 + 4 = 7.

Thus, the number of sophomores = 2*(105/7) = 30. Sufficient.

The correct answer: C
