Test day

by estebanmorillo » Sun Dec 09, 2018 4:05 pm
Hello all,

I have a question concerning sending the GMAT Score on test day.

Do I need to have written down all the codes for the program I plan on applying to on test day? Or am I able to search for the programs in the computer? How does that work?

I appreciate any help from anybody who has taken the test in explaning how that works.

Thanks!

Hi Esteban,

The Program has a searchable database, so you don't have to memorize any codes for the Schools that you want to send your Official GMAT Score to. Is your Official Test Date coming up (and when are you scheduled to take the Test?)?

Hi Esteban,

How did you Score (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)? And are you planning to apply soon (sometime in the next couple of months)?

Hello Rich,

My scores were the following: Q36, V30, IR 5. Total Score: 560.

I want to apply before Second Round deadlines. Some of the colleges' deadlines are in early and mid January, as well as mid February for one of the programs.

Best,
Esteban

Hi Esteban,

Is your Official Score in the 'competitive range' of what those Schools are looking for? If it's not, and you want to retest, then you'll have to be really efficient with the time that you have remaining before the Round 2 application deadlines.

You might choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn't provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.

I'm not sure what the competitive range would be. But it is definitely 90-130 points below the mean scores for the programs I am interested in. Therefore I would like to retake it in about a month. Thanks for offering to help with this! I just the got the ESR. Where can I send it to you?
