A physician who is too thorough in conducting a medical checkup is likely to subject the patient to the discomfort and expense of unnecessary tests. One who is not thorough enough is likely to miss some serious problem and therefore give the patient a false sense of security. It is difficult for physicians to judge exactly how thorough they should be. Therefore, it is generally unwise for patients to have medical checkups when they do not feel ill.

Which one of the following, if true, would provide the most support for the conclusion in the passage?

(A) Not all medical tests entail significant discomfort.

(B) Sometimes unnecessary medical tests cause healthy people to become ill.

(C) Some patients refuse to accept a physician's assurance that the patient is healthy.

(D) The more complete the series of tests performed in a medical checkup, the more likely it is that a rare disease, if present, will be discovered.

(E) Physicians can eliminate the need to order certain tests by carefully questioning patients and rejecting some possibilities on that basis.

How do I find out, what's being assumed here?

Option A - INCORRECT.
This option is incorrect, reason ben that most medical tests entail significant discomfort and the dicomfort experienced by the patient before the test is the reason behind the test.

Option B - INCORRECT.
It is wrong to say that unnecessary medical tests cause healthy people to become ill, because the main purpose of undergoing a medical test is to discover the hidden disease or unforeseen medical challenges that may later affect a patient if not detected earier and the only way to review this is by undergoing both necessary and unncessary medical test.

Option C - INCORRECT.
This option only occurs in rare cases because most patients seems to view their physician as their secound GOD. Therefore, if a patient refuse to accept a physician's assurance of been healthy, then maybe the patient is still experiencing some discomfort and needs more medical checkup or attention.

Option D - CORRECT.
This option best supports the conclusion in the passage. Medical checkup is meant to be a routine excercise and not an everyday exercise. Therefore, the more complete the series of tests performed in a medical checkup, the more likely it is that a rare disease, if present, will be discovered. However, patients who do routine wider medical checkups are more likely to eradicate unncessary expensense and are less expectant of unaware illness.

Option E - INCORRECT.
This option sometimes is wrong for a professional physician to delibrate. Life is not created by physician and definately Physicians cannot eliminate the need to order certain tests by just carefully questioning patients and rejecting some possibilities on that basis. Patients sometimes cannot fully explain the way they feel due to the evel of discomfort they experience, however the best way to dectect and profer solution to the patient is by commensing a medical checkup on such patient, if possible a thorough test.
