Advocates insist that health savings accounts are an efficient method to reduce medical expenses. However, widespread adoption of these accounts will soon undermine the public's health. One reason for this is that most people will be reluctant to deplete their accounts to pay for regular preventive examinations, so that in many cases a serious illness will go undetected until it is far advanced. Another reason is that poor people, who will not be able to afford health savings accounts, will no longer receive vaccinations against infectious diseases.

The statements above, if true, most support which of the following?

(A) Wealthy individuals will not be affected negatively by health savings accounts.
(B) Private health insurance will no longer be available.
(C) Most diseases are detected during regular preventive examinations.
(D) Some people without health savings accounts are likely to contract infectious diseases.
(E) The causal relationship between an individual's health and that person's medical care has been adequately documented.

Option A - INCORRECT
Definitely, wealthy individuals will not be affected negatively by health savings accounts because they have the fund to finance the account, unlike the poor.

Option B - INCORRECT.
The statement is this option is not true. However, the main target of this plan is to enhance private health insurance and it will always be available as long as there is an equivalent of the treatment bill in your health insurance account.

Option C - INCORRECT.
One of the main purpose of this development is for easy access to medical treatment. However, patients with fund in their health savings account will always have access to medical checkups which any diseases that will affect or is affecting the patient will be detected earlier during regular preventive examinations.

Option D - CORRECT.
This option is true and worthy to be deduce from the argument. However, Some people without health savings accounts are likely to contract infectious diseases because, not all of the citizens can afford or keep-up with the plan of health insurance account. Therefore, those limited to this plan will obvious have health issues and most likely to contact infectious disease due to lack of medical treatment caused by poor funding of health insurance account.

Option E - INCORRECT.
Even if the causal relationship between an individual's health and that person's medical care has been adequately documented, it still does not justify the fact that, the amount of medical care that will be given to such person will be determined by the amount available or the plan in which the person operates in his health insurance account.
