This question is a little too ambiguous to be a true (official) GMAT question.vaibhav101 wrote:a team of 8 students goes on an excursion, in 2 cars with seating capacity of 5 & 4 people. In how many ways can they travel?

Does order matter here?
For example, is E driving, A in passenger seat, G in middle of back seat, and C in left side of back seat DIFFERENT FROM C driving, A in passenger seat, E in middle of back seat, and G in left side of back seat?
Cheers,
