2. Not sufficient
xz = 120
xy = yz = 100
Not enough to find xyz as different combinations of x,y,z are possible.
Hence the correct answer is A.

Statement 2 is insufficient not because how you dealt it. xy is not necessarily equal to yz = 100. The statement states that "the area of each of two facing walls of this room is 100 square feet." So, either xy = 100 or yz = 100 or can be both.
