Hi LUANDATO,
We're told that a call center has two teams: each member of Team A was able to process 4/5 calls as compared to each member of Team B and Team A has 5/8 as many numbers of call center agents as Team B. We're asked for the fraction of the total calls that was processed by team B. This question can be solved by TESTing VALUES.
IF....
Team A = 5 members, Team B = 8 members
Team A = 4 calls/member, Team B = 5 calls/member
Total Calls = (5)(4) + (8)(5) = 20+40 = 60
Team B handles 40/60 = 2/3 of the calls
Final Answer: C

Let's assume that team B has 8 members and thus team A has 5 members. Furthermore, we can let each member in team B make 5 calls and thus each member in team A makes 4 calls.BTGmoderatorLU wrote:A call center has two teams. Thus, team A makes 4 x 5 = 20 calls and team B makes 5 x 8 = 40 calls. So team B makes 40/60 = 2/3 of all the calls.
