Could someone help me explain the answer to this problem? I don't understand why in the answer, it says x|x| < 2^x when the problem asks if x|x| < 2x.

Not sure which publisher's OG you are using.

I m having blackwell publishing and both qn and answer speak about 2^x

I think there's a mistake in the book. Looks like 2x should be written as 2^x in the question stem, since that's how its written in the solution
