(2) a - b = 0
Can some experts find the best Option in this?

Case 2: a = -2 and b = -2. NO ab is not 0.
Not sufficient.
Statement 2: If a- b =0, then a = b. Notice that we can reuse both cases from statement 1, giving us a YES and a NO, both for statement 2 and together. Not sufficient.
The answer is E
