During the past two years I visited 12 business schools, applied to 6, interviewed at 5, admitted to 3, received 2 full-tuition scholarships and one 75% scholarship.

It would be a monumental task to write down the experiences so I am wondering if there is truly an interest out there.

It includes many diversity weekends.

Schools visited:
1. Texas
2. Michigan
3. Wisconsin
4. UCLA
5. USC
6. Berkeley
7. Stanford
8. UNC
9. Duke
10. Virginia
11. Yale
12. Harvard

I applied through the Consortium. Me: 27 yo, Hispanic, 4 years in blue chip company in Finance/Operations, from a regular state school.

I have a couple questions (I'm a minority as well)

1. Does Consortium give scholorships to any of the schools you are accepted to or do they pick out of the list you were accepted to?

2. Do they help prepare you for MBA interviews, etc?

1. You rank the schools in order of your preference, then on "draft day", each school chooses whether to award you a scholarship, if your #1 ranked school declines, then the opportunity passes on to your #2 and so on.

2. No they do not help you prepare. That is something that a different organization does, google MLT MBA Prep.

Congrats on your full ride to Ross via the Consortium!

I am planning to apply to Ross as my number one via the consortium as well. I have a few questions:

Which 6 schools did you apply to?

Was Ross your number 1 on the consortium app? I have read that if you apply to 6 (and why not if the application fee is so low), schools ranked 4, 5 and 6 are not as open to you as a candidate.

Did you write unique essays for each program or did you recycle your consortium essays since they are so similar? I have no objection to writing more, but am just curious.

Did you use the same recommender(s) for each application?

Thanks in advance!!
