by zoe » Wed May 11, 2016 12:06 am
Dear friends,
here is an example as following:

A recent study indicates the powerful effects of random reinforcement, as evidenced by the multi-million dollar collectible card game industry, is no longer limited to casinos, test subjects, and stock market investors. D
A. A recent study indicates the powerful effects of random reinforcement, as evidenced by the multi-million dollar collectible card game industry, is no longer limited to casinos, test subjects, and stock market investors
B. No longer limited to casino patrons, test subjects, and stock market investors, as evidenced by the multi-million dollar collectible card game industry, are the powerful effects of random reinforcement as indicated by a recent study.
C. As evidenced by the multi-million dollar collectible game industry, a recent study indicates that the powerful effects of random reinforcement are no longer limited to casino patrons, test subjects, and stock market investors.
D. A recent study indicates that the powerful effects of random reinforcement, as evidenced by the multi-million dollar collectible card game industry, are no longer limited to casino patrons, test subjects, and stock market investors.
E. A recent study indicates that the powerful effects of random reinforcement, as evidenced by the multi-million dollar collectible card game industry, is no longer limited to casino patrons, test subjects, and stock market investors.

I have some questions
1) the use of "as" should be preposition or comparison
let's review (C) & (D)
C. As evidenced by the multi-million dollar collectible game industry, a recent study indicates that the powerful effects of random reinforcement are no longer limited to casino patrons, test subjects, and stock market investors.
if "AS" is preposition, then "a recently study" is something that is evidenced by....
if "AS" is comparison, then "a recently study" is like something that is evidenced by....

D. A recent study indicates that the powerful effects of random reinforcement, as evidenced by the multi-million dollar collectible card game industry, are no longer limited to casino patrons, test subjects, and stock market investors.
if "AS" is preposition, then "the powerful effects" is something that is evidenced by....
if "AS" is comparison, then "the powerful effects" is like something that is evidenced by....

How to identify "as" is comparison or preposition ?

2) other question is on B

B. No longer limited to casino patrons, test subjects, and stock market investors, as evidenced by the multi-million dollar collectible card game industry, are the powerful effects of random reinforcement as indicated by a recent study.

this sentence, subject is "the powerful effects" , verb is "are", object is "no longer limited to ..."
can I put object "no longer limited to ..." in the head of the sentence (as B shows), like "there are many pens on the table". here subject is "many pens" , verb is "are", object is "here"
