Hi,

I am a Program Manager with a top Product MNC in IT in India and have 12 years of experience overall across services IT firms. Previously, I read Physics @ Delhi University and have a MBA from a top 15-20 school in India. I am targeting a 1 yr program stanford MSx, MIT Sloan Fellow, Kellogg Accelerated to join in 2017 for career progression.

I wanted to enquire on a GMAT waiver option available:
1) mit Sloan Fellow program - I applied for one, when can I expect to hear back from them?
2) Do Kellogg and Stanford offer the same?
3) How does this affect my chances of getting a scholarship?

The general idea is to focus more on work right now (engaged with a IT macro trend) and pick up further certifications like CSPO, Stanford APM etc over the year rather than spending 300+ hours on increasing my GMAT score from the current 650 that I am getting in mocks.

Also, with my current situation I would only be able to submit my full app (including GMAT score) by Deadline 2 for these schools (Dec-Jan).

My interest is to target the Tier 1 schools only and definitely in the US, I am not considering European institutions for the dwindling job opportunities there. The primary interest in a 2nd MBA is to pivot out of mid-career stagnation that next 6-10 yrs offer on the beaten path. IT Consulting and Product Management are the 2 directions I am keen on in putting my background to good use post MBA to being able to target Sr. Mgmt jobs thereafter with a good B-School brand backing and immersive academics on general mgmt subjects.

So yes, GMAT is on then and 720+ to target and 1 year option as being away for 2 yrs from industry has a lot in opportunity costs for me and I made up my mind only after going through the profiles of the current 1 year batches where a 2nd MBA and Indian candidates do form a % of the total set.

Yes, Indian IT Males apply en mass, but I have some width in my cultural set which should set me apart having worked out of 11 cities over the last 12 years (6 in India reset abroad) I am currently engaged in the Cloud technology division of Adobe and have been picking up industry friendly certifications regularly (more this year) esp. APM from Stanford.

Should I be looking at CornellTech MBA as well? Although I haven't been able to gather any online reviews on it !!
