Stmt 1:
If the ratio of FT/PT is less for Y than for company Z.... then the ratio of FT/PT for X must be greater than for company Z. This is because Company Z is comprised of X & Y only. SUFFICIENT
Stmt 2:
This statement really says the same thing: FT/PT is greater for X than company Z. It is less for Y than company Z. SUFFICIENT
