Dear Ayushman Choudhury,

Good to hear from you!
so the short of it is that you have a very good profile with one or two weaknesses in it.

You have fantastic grades in your UG, you have good and long work experience at a very good firm, and you have plenty of really good extras.

The two weaknesses I see are your GMAT (700 is great, but for Top 10 schools it may be a bit low), and the fact that you are a non-IIT grad.

But neither of those seem to be the biggest problem - what I see that is potentially problematic (good news though: which you can fix with some hard work) is your STORY. Right now you have presented your profile here as "SAP consultant" and focused (and rightly so perhaps) on the technical achievements at your job. However, if you really want to succeed in your MBA, it will help for you to reconcieve of yourself as a leader, teammate, and businessman. Meaning, focus less on the technical achievements, but more on your leadership, mentoring, lovely CSR achievements, your promotions, etc. etc. In sum: make your profile more relevant for what the business schools are looking for!

If you can do that, your profile will be a LOT stronger!

With a 700, Duke Yale and es. Tuck will be quite tough. the other schools will be more in your competitive range. But I don't really see any "Safe schools" in your list (you should have at least one).

As for advising you on a final list, it will depend a bit on how many schools you will be applying to.

I hope these thoughts help you out, dude,
Best,
JF
