Since now you've formed some opinion about me, my work and potential - here are some specific questions I wanted to ask -

1.Can you please advise me which schools I can target - which ones will be my reach, match and safe schools?

2. Am I a diversity candidate since I graduated in design and also worked for a fashion jewelry brand or am I a typical feeder candidate since I come from retail consulting.

3.Being married - Do I need to communicate that in my essays? How does my marital status affect my chances of selection?

4. Low IR Score- Will it make a difference for top 5 schools? ( HBS, Stanford, Wharton etc.)
Also, do I need to retake GMAT for Top 5 schools?

Hello there!
Good to hear from you!
So overall I like your profile. It's not thaaaaat common and it looks like you have lots of experience in various stages and functions of your industry, from managing to teaching tot he technical work, to setting up retail... all seems very interesting, and it could be a very convincing argument for you to go into consulting.

Now let me get to your questions!

1. I think you can stick to Top 20 schools more or less. Top five will be stretches, but then the next you can spread out your school list amongst the rest and I think with a strong application you have great potential.

2. You are as diverse as you MAKE yourself - that is one of the principal points behind the application and essays!

3. They will ask it, and you should communicate it. It should in no way affect your application.

4. Not really. And you could theoretically retake the GMAT, but I'm not sure it's a higher GMAT that will get yo in (although it couldn't hurt I suppose). A 710 is good enough to get you into any school - the rest will depend on the rest of your profile.

I hope this helps!
