Hello Varun

Your work experience is pretty good. You will make a good prospective student for EMBA. Is that something you would be interested in? Or are you sure about pursuing a full time MBA? How was your undergraduate GPA? Remember that GPA is a very important component of you application. If your GPA is good (with good grades in quant related courses) and if you were in the top 2-5% of the class, it can offset your GMAT to an extent.

The fact that you have worked in a variety of areas - R&D, Production, Sales & Marketing, will also help your case. In your essays you can point out that you will have a lot to contribute to your MBA class because of your experience. You have introduced major optimizations in Honda, initiated and improved customer service and satisfaction and you have brought about substantial profits at your firms. Make sure you focus on these achievements in your essays as they show that. Discuss the promotions that you have received in the many firms you worked. Also tell me how you fared in comparison to your peers?

You have not mentioned any extracurricular activities that you were part of. Tell me about your ECs from your work, outside of work and college.

With a 590 GMAT score and much higher than average age, it can be a little difficult to gain admission for full-time MBA program in a good business school. Getting into an EMBA class would be easier. EMBA will also help you better in achieving your post MBA goals. Despite your work experience, your score will limit you to only a few good schools. You have a decent quant score, which is a relief, if you could improve your verbal score a bit more and core up to 650, there will be many more good schools you can apply to and also better chances of making it to them.
