Is the GMAT Prep exam Pack-1 a recommended buy?

I have already purchased the MGMAT tests and have to attempt those

My GMAT is in 3 weeks.

My Target Score is 650

The test Results of GMAT Prep- 1 & 2 have been 620
Veritas Prep is 650.

I think it's a worthwhile purchase.
You're close to your target score, so a little extra practice with OFFICIAL questions (and the OFFICIAL scoring algorithm) should get to you where you need to be.

Two final considerations:
1) The exam pack costs $39.99 and retaking the GMAT costs $250.
2) The GMATPrep practice tests provide the most accurate results

Cheers,
Brent

It is worth it. With your exam in three weeks you want to get some more accurate information.

Brent has given you the facts of it and here is one more - if you are not close to your goal score and you are still more than 7 days from your test date you can postpone.

I imagine you will see a bit of an increase from your previous tests - hopefully close to your goal score. It is best to achieve your goal score on an official practice test before going in for the real thing. At the very least you want to be close (within 20 points).

You know that you can also retake the GMATPrep tests you have taken already? The tests from the Exam Pack 1 will be more accurate as you have not seen those questions yet, but the official tests even retaken are the best this close to your exam.

Good luck!

100% YES!

The GMATPrep 3 and 4 are challenging and AWESOME, in my opinion. If your target score if 650, I'd suggest you attempt to score a 670+ on these practice CATs to have a comfortable margin. This is not easy. These CATs are HARD (and awesomely so).

If you have a 620 on the GMATPrep, you're probably still cruising around that score-range unless that CAT was a number of weeks ago. So you really need to make up those 50 points STAT, since you only have 3 weeks. It's do-able, but it will require some laser-like precision.

I'd immediately hit that GMATPrep and use it to complete an Error Log (see attached template), refine your Verbal strategies (especially RC -- most students tend to ignore it), and focus on 5-6 weaknesses each week. What's your Verbal/Quant breakdown? How well are you doing with SC concepts? Do you have the MGMAT SC?

Here's a post I wrote on breaking down GMAT RC: https://gmatrockstar.com/2014/01/17/gmat ... y-purpose/

And incorporating alternate Quant techniques such as Picking Numbers: https://gmatrockstar.com/2014/04/15/gmat ... the-day-2/

Good luck!

Thanks for all your suggestions, I will be purchasing the GMAT prep exam pack.

I do have the MGMAT SC Strategy guide and the Aristotle guide.
My weakness is Subject verb Arrangement and Pronoun Errors in SC.
RC - Questions related to EXCEPT, is what I mistakes on. I will be sure to go through the article as suggested
and I get exhausted towards the end hence end up making errors on the last few questions, something I need to work on.

In addition I feel that in my quant score there is a contribution of a few lucky guess. I need to brush up on Coordinate Geometry, exponents, Powers and roots, Probability & Combinations.

The break up of my scores was as follows

GMAT Prep 1 (4th June)

Quant- 47/73 Verbal 28/48 Total 620/69

GMAT Prep2 (16th June)

Quant- 48/78 Verbal 28/48 Total 620/69

Veritas Prep1 (30 June)

Quant- 48/78 Verbal 31/59 Total 650/78

Further Break up was

Verbal
Critical Reasoning 80%
Reading Comprehension 53%
Sentence Correction 55%

Quant
Data Sufficiency 93%
Problem Solving 45%

Thanks a lot
