Hello, I'm planning to build an alternate transcript to help offset my undergrad 2.9 GPA. I plan on taking some accounting and also stats classes.

Does it matter if I take them at a community college? The CC has accounting and stats classes, but my alma mater actually has a location near me and I could take evening classes in Accounting. Would it be worth it to take the evening classes? It'd be with a top 25 undergrad program.

The cost per credit is over twice as much as with the community college, though.

HI thomasdodsonian,

Thanks for your post. What matters most to an admissions team is how you do in the class, not where you decide to take it. An MBA program will not look down on you for taking a class at a community college.

I hope the above is of help.

Cheers,
