Hi mukherjee.tanuj3,

This SC includes a "3-item list", which means that we'll need to use Parallelism rules (each of the 3 items must be written in the same "format.").

All 5 answers start of "the list" with the word "by" (then the 3 items follow). To be parallel, an answer will EITHER have 1 "by" at just the beginning of the list or a "by" before each of the 3 items. Any answer that has the word "by" on 2 of the 3 items is NOT parallel and incorrect. Eliminate B, D and E.

Between A and C, answer C creates a new error. The end of the sentence is a modifier, describing the nouns that appear immediately before it (General Motors and Chrysler). Answer C instead treats the last part of the sentence as a separate item in the list, which it's not. Eliminate C.

Final Answer: A
