Putting the two statements together, the classroom with the tallest student has a smaller range, or in essence you are subtracting a smaller number from a bigger number when comparing the two classes - this makes the class without the tallest student, the one with the shortest.

Lets assume class A has 2 , 3 and 7.
Class B has 4 , 5 and 6.
Range A = 12/3 = 4 = r
Range B = 15/3 = 5 = s
Both the conditions are true.
1) r(=4) < s(=5)
2) g(=7) > h(=6)
Hence the above is false, least height in A is not less than least height in B.
Please correct if I missed on something.
Class B has 4 , 5 and 6.

2) g(=7) > h(=6)
Hence the above is false, least height in A is not less than least height in B.
