Hi Java,Java_85 wrote:What is wrong with C?
The problem in C lies in the subject-verb agreement. Here the subject is news (of the first shots)(singular). Whereas, the verb used is were (sent) (plural). Only B and E correct this error.
Is the right answer E?
Thanks,

+1 for {E}
{A} - INCORRECT; "which were" is wrong as per singular "news"
{B} - INCORRECT; "that" is incorrect in "shots that was sent"
{C} - INCORRECT; "were" is used for "news" so "shots that were" is wrong - meaning issue
{D} - INCORRECT; "another" and "in addition" are redundant.
{E} - CORRECT
