GMAT 690 - should i retake?

by nik6485 » Mon Sep 09, 2013 2:09 pm
Just took my GMAT - V32(70%), Q49(81%) - Score 690
Any recommendations on whether I should retake the exam?

Targeting Darden, Duke, Booth. Should i even consider higher tier - Kellog, Stanford, etc.?

5+ years work ex as an engineer.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

It would be helpful if you could provide some additional details about your specific work experience, level of undergraduate institution, GPA, etc. The GMAT is just one of many data points that are considered as part of an application review.

Hi nik6485,

A 690/Q49 puts you in range of any US Business Schools, so you can absolutely apply. Keep in mind that the schools that you've listed are highly competitive, so you need to have a strong overall application, not just a strong GMAT score.

I agree w/ Rich -- it's important, but again... just one data point. Hope the rest of your application process is going well.
