As you may know, MBA degree opens various doors of success and growth for your career advancement. So, you are preparing for an MBA degree course. But before that you must know about - which course type will be best suitable as per your interests and career perspective.
There are basically three types of MBA programs-
  • 1. Full-time MBA programs.
  • 2. Part-time MBA programs.
  • 3. Online learning MBA programs.

Full-Time MBA programs - In these programs, the MBA curriculum needs to be completed in 2 years. Most of the candidates prefer to apply for full time MBA courses just after their graduation. There are two internship programs as well through the curriculum in which candidates are supposed to gain expertise and skills in their chosen functional field.
Some other program types considered under full time MBA are as follows-
  • Joint degree courses - In this type of MBA program, the MBA degree curriculum is combined with some other graduation course to pursue simultaneously. In this program, the elective courses from each degree program need to be qualified for joint course completion.
  • Accelerated degree Program - In these MBA programs, the course curriculum is completed in less than the usual 2 years time span. Only some specific universities offer accelerated MBA programs for undergraduate completed students.


Part-time MBA programs - In this type of MBA course, candidates who are willing to work while attending study classes for MBA prefer to apply. Candidates can continue their job while pursuing for their MBA degree course. In part-time MBA programs, generally the course curriculum is completed in 3 years. But, if one needs to complete the course in lesser time, then he/she can do so by taking more number of classes per term.
  • 1. Classes are taught in week-ends, evenings or on holidays to put up work plan.
  • 2. The candidates in part-time MBA courses have more chances of getting sponsored by employers for their course.
  • 3. You might not get full access to scholarships, placements and other valuable resources offered by universities and institutions in case of part-time MBA degree programs.


Online MBA Programs - These online MBA degree programs are increasingly popular in current time pace. In these courses, candidates can get their MBA degree course from accredited universities through online learning platform. They don't need to suspend their current job or work schedule. The classes and course material is provided through online learning digital media such as audio and video tutorials.
  • 1. Candidates are free to choose their own study hours in these online degree courses.
  • 2. Candidates can appear in exams as per their own schedule.
  • 3. These programs are highly flexible and developed through advanced technology.
  • 4. Candidates can get their MBA degree course from chosen university staying anywhere in the world.
  • 5. These programs are most suitable for working people.
