for any three numbers median will be equal to middle number .

from 1) x<Y+Z

x can be median and yet this will hold true pick 1, 3, 5 as y, x,z respectively. Not Sufficient.

if y=z then for any ordering z will be median.

pick 1 3 3 or 3 3 5

hence Suff

Can it be assumed that the numbers are in ascending order? It is not stated anywhere in the Qn? In that case, it should be E right?
