E for me
3,5<x+y<4,5 thanks to 1)
0,5<x-y<1,5 thanks to 2)

Adding both inequalities
4<2x<6
2<x<3

So we cannot answer because x could be 2,1 or 2,9 and the closest could be 2 or 3

Since x and y aren't integers, there might be rounding off error in both x+y and x-y. Because of this we can't comment on values of x and y.

Answer acc. to me should be E.
