Is x even?
Statement I
x is a square of an integer.
x=9,4,16,49 anything, therefore insufficient.
Statement II
x is a cube of an integer
x=8, 27, 125, 343, 256 anything, therefore insufficient.
Combining both the statements.
x is a cube as well as a square of an integer.
x=64, 729 anything therefore insufficient.
64=4^3 or 8^2
729=9^3 or 27^2
Hence E is the answer.
