if one kg of certain coffee blend consists of x kg of type I coffee and y kg of type II cofee. The cost of the blend is C dollars per kg, where C=6.5x +8.5y. Is x <0.8?

1)y>0.15
2)c>=7.30

C = 6.5x + 8.5y
x+y = 1 Kg

st 1. y > 0.15

If y = 0.16 , then x = 0.84
y = 0.5 , then x = 0.5

So st 1 is insuff to decide whether x<0.8.

2. C >= 7.30
Lets take x = 0.8 . then c= 6.5(0.8] + 8.5(0.2) = 6.9
So if c >= 7.30 , x has to be less than 0.8.
So 2 alone is suff to infer x < 0.8
Thus the answer is B
