Can't really understand the explaination for some reason
marcia's bucket can hold a max. of how manylitres of water?
a: bucket currently has 9 litres of water
b: if 3 litres of water are added to the bucket when it is half full of water, the amount of water in the bucket will increase by 1/3
This is from OG pg 290 Q 155 . Can't Understand the OG explanation. Help Reqd. Tks in advance.

Let x be the full capacity of the bucket.
Acc. to the ques if 3 ltrs is added to the bucket when it is half full(x/2), then the water increses by 1/3.
So thios means that 1/3 of the current volume of water is equal to 3 ltrs
=> (1/3)*(x/2) = 3
=> x = 18 ltrs.
Hence (ii) is sufficient.
