Hello Everyone

Could you tell me which are the best schools for someone looking for a role in the Development Sector post MBA? If not purely a development sector profile, I would prefer a consulting role with an organization working in a similar set-up (for instance an organization working with the Govt.)

Thanks!
Jayant

Hi Jayant,

Oxford Said has a social entrepreneurship fellowship in partnership with the Skoll Foundation. IE Business School has a lot of graduates working in the third sector or in government bodies. I know a recent grad working for Mohammed Yunus Foundation. George Mason has a social innovation centre. MIP Politecnico di Milano is also good at placing students in social enterprises, government bodies or international development agencies. See a recent article titled "Impact Investing: Poverty Alleviation Or Trendy Buzzword?" on MBA news site BusinessBecause. Some other American schools that could be good for this are Cornell, NYU Stern and Chicago Booth.

Thanks for the reply Golden-egg

I know its basically forums and websites like these that are the best resources for exploring - "which school is the best fit for you". But are their any better sources?

Yale and Stanford are consistently the top-ranked Non-profit programs. HBS with all its government connections is awesome as well. There is a website dedicated to Social and environmental impact programs here: https://www.beyondgreypinstripes.org

Best of luck!!!!
