Took the Manhattan GMAT and got a 410

by theachiever » Fri Nov 16, 2012 7:26 am
Hello I recently took the Manhattan GMAT simulation Test and ended up scoring a 410
Q-35,V-15.

Clearly Verbal is my weakness and I need to push the quant score more.I am planning to take up the exam in december.

Please suggest as to how to go about both the sections.

Target score is around 680-710.I have started working on my weakness but some valuable inputs from your end will surely add a lot of value to my study plan.

15 on Verbal is too less I think and means that you are concepts(and their application) is not strong enough yet. You may need to change the books you're using or the way you are studying to able to leapfrog to a decent score on Verbal.

There are two things here. Firstly the books you use(read my debrief for the ones I used for SC and CR) and the way you use those books. Your focus should not be on completing the books fast but rather on understanding the stuff well and understanding the application of concepts
